Thank you once again for your entry into this years event, it is set to be an absolute cracker and we look forward to
​seeing you on the start line. 
We would also like to thank and welcome the 'tourist runners', who are competing in the first leg of the BTR Tour of Merseyside​.

Here you will find all the facilities for the event including;

The event venue facilities are open from 6.00am on event day. They will be open throughout the day until everyone has finished. Remember, we don't have time limits so there is no need to worry about anything closing down! Just concentrate on enjoying your day.

PARKING

Being a resort town, Southport is full of car parks, all with varying charges and facilities. There are too many to mention, so we've cheated and used Parkopedia to help you. Click the button!

BIB NUMBERS & TIMING CHIPS...

Your bib pack will be ready for you to collect on the day from 6.00am. The chip timing tag is pre-attached to the number so do not fold, cut or damage your number in any way or you may not receive an official finishing time. Your number must be worn on the front of your running top so your timing chip works correctly. 

BAGGAGE & KEY STORAGE...

You will find a baggage storage marquee located next to the collection points. Use this facility to store essential items you will need for when you have finished your event. Do not leave any valuables as this area is not manned.

We have a key drop facility available. Use your empty envelope after collecting your bib number to place your keys in and hand to a member of staff at the collection points for safekeeping whilst you are competing.

HALF MARATHON ROUTE
10k ROUTE

HYDRATION STATIONS...

Fluids lost in sweat must be replaced. There will be 4 drink stations (with water available) along the Half Marathon route and 1 station on the 10k route. It is your responsibility to take on fluids as necessary. It is also not advisable to drink alcohol the night before – alcohol can have a serious impact on hydration.

TOILETS...

Portable toilets are conveniently located next to the start and finish area and will be available throughout the day. DO NOT leave your visit until the last minute as they will become notoriously busy. With that in mind, when using the toilets be as quick as possible to keep the queues down. There are no toilets on the course.

MEDICAL SUPPORT...

The expert team from Remote Medical Services will be stood too for the duration of all the events. There will be paramedic responders on their bikes patrolling the courses and ambulance facilities at the start and finish areas. Should you need any assistance please alert a medic or marshal.

AWARDS & PRIZES...

All finishers will receive their beautiful blingtastic medal at the finish line along with a commemorative tech t-shirt. Individual prizes will be awarded in the following categories;

10k - First 3 Men & First 3 Ladies
10k - 1st Male Veteran over 40/45/50/55/60/65+
10k - 1st Lady Veteran over 35/40/45/50/55/60+

Half Marathon - First 3 Men & First 3 Ladies
Half Marathon - 1st Male Veteran over 40/45/50/55/60/65+
Half Marathon - 1st Lady Veteran over 35/40/45/50/55/60+

Prizes are awarded to those in the Southport 10k & Half Marathon and not those competing in the first leg of the BTR Tour of Merseyside.

RESULTS...

Shortly after the last competitor has finished, the results will be published on the events website​. The results will show your official event time and your personal chip time. If you have any problems with your results we will try and sort as quickly as possible for you. Drop us an email giving as much detail as possible to [email protected]
