AMERICAN DELEGATION OF SAVOY ORDERS SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2020 August 31, 2020 2020 chapter general Dear Members of the American Delegation, Because of the exceptional situation of the COVID crisis this year, the Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, instead of cancelling the installation ceremonies originally scheduled in Rome, has authorized a single-day ceremony in Geneva, Switzerland, on November 7, 2020. This event will include an installation ceremony followed by a charity luncheon, in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses, in order to allow new members and promotees to receive their insignia and diploma directly from Their Royal Highnesses. The number of invitees to the Geneva event is limited, with priority given to new members, promotees, their families and guests, and those holding leadership positions in the Orders. More detailed information will be sent to you in the next few weeks. Please note, however that government regulations may restrict Americans’ travel to Europe this year. Please also note the American Delegation of Savoy Orders will likely not conduct an installation/promotion ceremony in New York City in December for those who do not travel to Geneva. Final decision will depend in part on COVID health precautions in New York City. If our usual New York installation is not to be held, formal presentation of insignia and diplomas would be postponed to next year. 2020 savoy orders honors list 2020 SAVOY ORDERS HONORS LIST THE ORDER OF MERIT OF SAVOY ADMITTED AS CAVALIERE James F.
