Twelve-year-old Joanna has demonstrated a great deal of determination, flexibility, and positivity throughout the past several months. Joanna raised her hand to help Allegro refine our Live Online platform throughout the Sleeping Beauty Intensive this summer. Not only has Joanna moved through the transition to online classes with grace and fortitude, but she continues to work hard in each class. Joanna attends each Live Online class & Private Lesson with an admirable work ethic and a smile on her face! We can't wait to see where this year takes you (espeically in your new pointe shoes), Joanna! We are proud to have you as part of our Allegro community. Classes of the Month: ​Intermediate & Advanced Horton Technique Modern Intensive Dancers! Nominated & written by Miss Katrina "Something new and fun about teaching the Horton Technique to Allegro students this summer is the ability to have students both online and in-studio! The Tech Enabled set up has a computer connected to a large screen in the studio that's set up so the student is "facing the mirror." This means class can be taken from home while also giving the sense that the student is still present in class. The dancers at home can see the dancers in the studio and hear all the same notes, and vice-versa. Those of us in the studio can still feel the dancer's energy through the screen, which really speaks to the powers of both dance and technology. Both the Intermediate and Advanced Modern students are hardworking, energetic, and determined to dance, and it is such a joy to see them in class every week. " WE APPRECIATE YOU! Allegro Shout-Outs!
