Pathways Rhythms September 2020 Mystic of the Month: Thomas Merton The thing that we have to face is that life is as simple as this. We are living in a world that is absolutely transparent and God is shining through it all the time. This is not just a fable or a nice story, it is true. -Thomas Merton (1915-1968) Pathways Welcomes Children On August 15, six 5-6 year-old children from Assembly Mennonite gathered at Pathways to walk the labyrinth. Deadline for registration is approaching! Contemplative Practices from Different Faith Traditions This 4-session online workshop, taught by Ruth Judy, will explore four spiritual traditions: Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, and Nature. Each week we will delve into one of these traditions through an overview of its spiritual practices. We will then experience two of these contemplative practices, followed with time for reflection and sharing. In closing, we will look at ways we might incorporate these practices into our daily lives, enhancing our own tradition.
