Congratulations corte madera!

Congratulations to Corte Madera School! CMS has been chosen as a 2021 California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education.

The California Department of Education recognized only 100 middle and high schools for 2021, including only 3 from San Mateo County.

St. Patrick's Day Fun

The PTO had fun creating St. Patrick’s day goodie bags for the students and delivering a St. Patrick’s themed staff coffee to both schools last week.

DISTANCE LEARNING FOR ALL STUDENTS MARCH 25TH

The majority of the PVSD staff will be receiving their second COVID vaccination sometime between Tuesday, March 23 and Thursday, March 25! Due to the possibility of second dose side effects, Thursday, March 25th will be a Distance Learning Day for all students. This means that students who usually attend in-person school will remain at home for the day and be taught virtually by their teacher according to the specified PlayList.

Further, it may become necessary for some classes to pivot to Asynchronous Learning (without direct teacher support) on short notice as we will not have enough staff to cover absences if many of our teachers become ill from the vaccination at the same time. You will receive an email notification early on the morning of March 25 to inform you of the plan for the day.

ART TO REMEMBER

Guess what? We are extending the Art to Remember fundraiser until April 2, 2021.

Most teachers have uploaded the children's artwork onto the site, be sure to take a look. And remember, you can also upload any piece of artwork from home - even that precious piece from preschool that you want to commemorate! You can also upload multiple pieces of art (and for younger children - simply use your PVSD child’s portal).

You can select a piece of artwork from home and upload it by going to https://arttoremember.com/school/66XDGZ

and following these instructions:

  1. Go to the website listed above and enter your child’s first and last name and click “Search”
  2. From the list of search results, find your child’s name with “Spring2021” listed under it and click “Upload”/ Or if your child has already submitted artwork click on their picture
  3. Click “Choose a File” and select the piece of artwork you’d like to upload
  4. Edit artwork if necessary. Artwork will appear exactly as uploaded so please make sure you have any background cropped out
  5. Click “Next”
  6. Enter additional details (optional) and click “Finish”
  7. You’ll then have options to upload additional artwork for the same child, upload artwork for a different child, or view all of the artwork in your gallery. You can click on any of those options, or if you are ready to shop, click “Done”
  8. This will take you to the shop page where you can shop products
  9. At checkout, you can enter a password to create an account and save the artwork to your personal family art gallery!

These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. Have fun creating and shopping!
