Political Strategist and Pollster

Lance Tarrance to Speak Sept. 20

Picture

Lance Tarrance, Jr, a leading Republican American pollster and political strategist, will speak at the September 20 meeting of Star Republican Women at Quail Point Community Center in Horseshoe Bay.

The program will begin at 1 p.m., following a complimentary lunch that starts at 12:30 p.m.

Tarrance has conducted hundreds of public opinion studies for national corporations, foundations, elected leaders of the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives and state governments. Now a resident of Horseshoe Bay, Tarrance is in the process of organizing a Republican men's club in the area.

Tarrance served as a Senior Strategist for Senator John McCain's Straight Talk America political action committee and for the Senator's 2007 presidential campaign. Tarrance had previously been involved in the U.S. Presidential campaigns of Barry Goldwater (1964), Richard Nixon (1968), Ronald Reagan (1976), John Connally (1980), Jack Kemp (1988), George W. Bush (2004), and John McCain(2008).

Tarrance was President and founder/CEO of Tarrance & Associates, a Houston-based national survey research company.  In 1998, the company was acquired by SRI/Gallup.  Tarrance left the firm, sat on the Board of Directors of the Gallup Organization eventually becoming the first Managing Director and President of Gallup China in Beijing.

His acknowledged professional pursuits have included a research model built on split ticket voting, a systems approach to populist-conservatism, and studies of emerging Hispanic voters.

Once named one of the 150 people in the country influencing national government by National Journal, Tarrance's commentary has often been sought by the print and broadcast media, including the New York Times, the CBS Morning News, ABC's Nightline and NBC's Today.

Tarrance received a B.A. in Modern European History from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, his Master's Degree with distinction in Electoral Behavior from American University in Washington D.C., attended the University of Michigan Survey Research Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and was a Fellow of Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Institute of Politics (1973-1974). He was a Visiting Professor at the Texas A&M Center for Presidential Studies for the 1995- 1996 academic year, was appointed the 1996 Scholar in Residence at Washington & Lee University.

In 2000, Tarrance was one of the principal architects behind two “watershed surveys” designed for the RNC to analyze Hispanic voters cultural and political attitudes.  At the time they were considered the most comprehensive surveys ever commissioned by any political party.

Time to Live Intentionally and Reclaim our Government.

Happy September Star Patriots and welcome back from wherever your summer fun took you. I hope your down time included old and new friends, fun travels, family  and grandkids, as well as the smell of barbecue on a summer night.

The only thing hotter than the Texas heat these last months is the reality that we are entering the election season of a lifetime!! Our beloved state has been invaded by hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, pounds of illegal and dangerous drugs, and a constant flow of single women and military age men and unaccompanied minors. Although Texas has bused some of the staggering overflow north, the border patrol must feel as though they are rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Personal friends claim their border ranches aren’t safe for them to work their cattle, ride their fences or let their children move about their property alone. The cartels actually control the border creating the multiple migrant deaths in desert, as well as facilitating the sex and child trafficking under Biden’s open border policies. The cartels are making billions moving human product. If we lose this election to Beto Democrats it will be like gasoline on a grassfire fed by the winds of south Texas. Our state will turn into a drought plagued cornfield turning into an inferno burning up our economy, our culture and future generations. Even our sanctuary of Horseshoe Bay will feel the swarm of some eighty seven thousand IRS agents.

WHAT ME WORRIED ? Not if we stand up, pray up, wake up, and vote up while reaching out to our families and fellow Texans. This is not a political contest of Democrats and Republicans. This is  we the people” standing against a Marxist communist move on our culture that intends to wipe out our sexuality, our prosperity, our schools, our security and even our God.

It is not time to just be intent to vote, but rather a time to double down on how to live intentionally while reclaiming our government from this destruction of corruption. We also need to live intentionally in our marriages, our friendships and our spiritual lives to be a part of the healing we desperately need as a nation.

As a nation, the United States must regain our moral direction. There is a difference in living with intent, which may or not happen, and living intentionally to make a difference in this place, at this time.

As a citizen of these United States come join us at Star Republican Women as we stand shoulder to shoulder and secure our future one vote at a time. Now is the time we overwhelm the vote by in person voting, removing the chance of mail in manipulation and ballot fraud.

We must keep Texas RED!
