Building Blocks of Art

Saturdays  - January  12 & 19
10:30 am-12noon              ages 7-11

Express and create while exploring the tools artists use to build works of art from line to texture and everything in between!  Each session offers a unique art lesson in which young artists are introduced to a different element of art, technique and medium inspired by the artwork currently on display of Luther Gerlach and Karen Kitchel.

Saturday, January 12 - Dark Natural Beauty

Taking inspiration from “Pastoral Crude,” students depict a polluted Southern California landscape. Students learn how to mix variations of brown to create a monochromatic painting.
