I’m going to call this an upgrade from when I wrote Prayers and Meditations of the Quero Apache in 2004. That began happening with the 2012 shift of time dynamics associated with the ending of the Mayan calendar. Energies cycled around the shifting magnetic grid. Some people noticed; some did not. Some people knew why; others did not. But every one of us knows something is going on. People are out involved in protests again. The state of the economy and the world may be going down the toilet any day now. And yet, still, there are those that touch the heart of Spirit and Earth every morning, finding solace in connection and the vision to continue forward in a life-enhancing manner.
When we do this, we find our path swept clean of many obstacles and challenges that we might have given the energy to, that would eventually overwhelm us, but after morning prayers – a connection time – those challenges are like watching a question from trivial pursuit roll by. We might notice, but they are ineffectual in steering us from forward positive momentum, and having some fun along the way. We become more productive, calmer, and generally happier.
HOW IT WORKS
I have found that the way I pray since the 2012 transitioned, has changed. It was much more of a cyclic wheel in each lunar cycle than it is now. Now the focus seems to be more into a relationship structure that is reflective of what this time is called – taanaashkaada – 5th World Coming Together. I remember Grandfather Martin of the Hopi sharing the wisdom of the two Prophecy Rocks, and how the 2nd one, small as it was, and as easy as it was to understand, would be the bigger change in humanity… and it all would start with the intention of prayer – prayer that we feel. It’s about the vibration of what we’re saying, the environment we put ourselves into when we’re praying, and finally what we receive as we pray, and the confirmation at the end of our day.
- I speak my prayers out loud so that every cell in my body and the universe, may stand in witness to my intent to embody my morning prayer throughout my day. This tickles my organs to no end.
- I make a cup of coffee, get comfortable, and look out the window or go outside to say the prayer. I receive visions of my friends as I speak the words, and animals, birds, come into my awareness, confirming that this will be another Good Day in my life. (And I don’t know anyone that will turn down one of those.)
- After my prayer, I sit about 5 minutes in Grandfather Sun’s warmth and the beauty around me, then go in and light candles throughout the house, and start some specifically mixed energetic music that my Guide Nakia helped me put together. Then I go about my day with clients, students, out and ‘bout in the world. And 90% of the time, I am truly the recipient of another good day in my life. The lack of stress in my body and my emotions, makes the experiences I have in life deeper and more filling.
