The Power of Gratitude When we start each morning and end each day giving thanks for the blessings in our lives, no matter how large or small, we set up energy pathways to the Creative Spirit, the source of the All. These are not only expressions of our hearts’ thankfulness for the experiences we are having on this plane, but by showing gratitude we are also inviting more blessings to gravitate toward us, because the pathway for reciprocal energies is opened by giving thanks. We can find our way to expressing gratitude for even the smallest things: for the sun shining or the rain falling, for the sound of a loved one’s voice or the rustle of the autumn leaves before they release their hold on their branches and gently fall to the ground, for the brilliant colors of a sunset or the stars that shine in the darkness of night. We can even give gratitude for the opportunity to serve others with a smile, or a hand, or a prayer. In giving thanks for the smallest aspects of our lives, we invite the blessings that are meant to be ours. Exercise Your Spirit Just as different colors are the result of different vibrations, so too are crystals imbued with different vibrations that are not only beautiful, but also have the power to heal and revive the physical and spiritual bodies that compose our being on this plane. The best all-purpose crystal is clear quartz. I have many of these, in a variety of shapes and sizes, that can be used for general healing and furthering connection to one’s own spirit and the spirits of others. I also use a crystal point to activate crystal grids, whose energies help to manifest needed outcomes. Rose quartz heals ailments of the heart chakra (more on chakras and crystals next month) and a red jasper can help to ground us when our energies are scattered. Hold a crystal in your hand and focus on the energy it is sending to you and ask it for help and healing. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised by the peace it brings to you!
