PVSD BOOK FAIR!
Friday, Sept 22 - Friday, Sept 29 in the Ormondale MUR
PVSD's Wild West Book Fair is almost here! Once again, we will host a Scholastic Signature Fair with additional easy-to-navigate cases, more series, more middle grade titles, and more adult titles.

The book fair will be open before, during and after school in the Ormondale MUR. Highlights of the fair will include:
- Popsicle Preview from 2:50 - 4pm on Fri, 9/22
- Family Fun Night with Curveball Slider Truck (vegetarian options available), from 5-7pm on Tues, 9/26
- Bagels and Books Breakfast (for children and caregivers) from 7:45 - 8:30am on Fri, 9/29

The book fair is the only source of supplemental support for libraries at both Ormondale and Corte Madera. Last year, almost 50% of all sales came back to the libraries! Come buy a book and help build our schools' libraries!

A very special thank you to Sarah Vincenzo for her creativity and dedication to improving the pvpto.com website over the past few months. Thanks to her hard work, the PTO website now has online volunteer sign ups, a streamlined donation/directory order process and more. Also, thank you to Lalanie Robins for your help producing the online sign ups! Thanks to Sarah and Lalani, we started the year in great shape with a wonderful roster of volunteers lined up for PTO events.

BBQ THANK YOUS!
Many thanks to those who attended and helped out at the ORM Back-to-School BBQ on Friday, Sept. 8th. It was such a fun evening and a great time for us all to enjoy talking with parents, staff, friends and kids. A big Thank You to Lori Palazzolo and Cate Styer for chairing this event.
Thank you to all who contributed to making this event a success for our school community, including BBQ Boys, our principal Lynette Hovland, Kiran Kamboj, Lalanie Robins, Laura Guntren, Camilla Eckstein, Manou Speleman, Luis Flores, Melissa Karlsten, Josh Moore, Alexis Robertson, Angie Stern, Laura Mather, Serena Hanes, Julie Lautner, Cyriac Roeding, Jen Arends, Cynthia Wong, Wendy Keefe, Neil Day, Alana, Achterkirchen, Suman Melville, Karyn Ellis, Eva Diez, Carlos Ceballos and Lorena Pineda and our amazing janitors Jose and Everett! A HUGE Thank you to the CMS 8th Grade Student Council, led by co-presidents Gigi Pistilli and Hayden Giles. They came organized, prepared and set a spirited and energetic tone for the evening. What an awesome team!

CMS BACK TO SCHOOL PICNIC
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22ND FROM 5:30PM TO 7:00PM
Come celebrate the start of a new year!
- Field games organized by the 8th grade Leadership Class
- Live DJ and inflatable obstacle course
- Dinner and friends
- Join other CMS families for dinner and family fun! Amigos Grill will provide burritos and families are asked to bring their favorite salad, side dish or dessert to share. A table will be set-up to accept labeled dishes when you arrive.
This is a great event for volunteering - please sign up here. Contact Erin Sanders ([email protected]) if you have any questions. Volunteers needed to help with welcome table, set-up, and clean-up.
Remember: All students need to be chaperoned by a parent. Please remind students that scooters, skateboards, or other ride-on toys are not allowed at the event.
