changing of the seasons

October is a welcome time to get the mountain bikes out and lucky for us both of our local trails are in amazing shape! Winfield Trails and Camp Horizon (Ark City) have been lovingly cared for thanks to some awesome volunteers. Visit the Winfield Trails for a beginner friendly experience and Camp Horizon for a more technical ride, or hike! We'll be out maintaining the trails throughout the fall and winter, please let us know if you're interested in volunteering.

let's ride!

Mark your calendar, our next group ride will roll from Wheat State Wine Co. on Sunday November 14th at 2pm. We'll have a beginner friendly route and also a gravel route. Afterwards we'll enjoy a glass of their warm mulled wine (known as Ghlühwein if you're fancy) and perhaps even a pizza!

Everyone is welcome to join us! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Gear up

With a little preparation riding in the fall and winter can be enjoyable! We recommend a sturdy pair of gloves to block the cold and Kansas wind. Ear and neck protection also go a long way towards being comfortable. It's not unusual to see us layered up with two neck gaiters, they are easy to adjust as you warm-up. Lights are also crucial! The most dangerous time to ride is dusk & dawn, so make sure you are seen! We offer a variety of options and price points, stop by anytime to let us know how we can help.
