My name is Antonette Favia, I am 100% of Italian descent. My mother, Stella Mariano, was born in Chicago a year or so after her family arrived in the United States during the late 1930’s. My father, Michael Favia, Sr. was born in Carbonara but was raised in the small town of Acquaviva delle Fonti, (both provinces of Bari), since he was three years old. My parents met in Franklin Park, IL while my father; then a sailor in the Italian Navy, was there on leave and visiting relatives. They married, raised five children and started our family business in 1973, Villa Park Electrical Supply Company, Inc.
I later graduated from Elmhurst College with a B.S. in Business Administration. Today, along with my brothers Michael Favia Jr and Tony Favia, we continue to run Villa Park Electrical Supply - an independently-owned American Small Family Business.
Later in life, I enrolled in classes at Richard Stromberg’s Chicago Photography School in Ravenswood. I became a photographer followed by the opening of my lighting studio which I named The Headshot Room. I specialize in taking headshot photos to fulfill the need for profile pictures which are widely used on social media in today’s business world.
