Fall at Make Creative Studio

Knitting Nights and Open Studio are back!

Join us Wednesday Nights at 6:30 p.m. in the Studio to enjoy fellowship with other knitters OR work in the Open Studio to create your own project.  Suggested Donation $5. 

Wondering what to do with the kids?  Join St. Giles' Engage Wednesdays for dinner at 5:30, followed by classes, fun and care for ALL ages.  Click here for more information.

Homeschool Art Classes

Homeschool Art class for Kindergarten - Fifth Grade registering now.  Class meets on Thursdays at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. in the studio. $50 per child includes all supplies.  Read more and register here.

Seeking Art Supplies for Imago Dei Neighborhood School

Beginning in September, Make Creative Studio will begin teaching JK-Second Grade Art at Imago Dei Neighborhood School!  Make is hoping to get as many art supplies as possible donated to this new ministry dedicated to serving the diverse students of the Northside neighborhood in RVA.  If you are willing to help us out, please click here to see our Amazon wish list and place an order today. ​ School starts on September 7!

McShin Foundation

Art and Recovery:

After a summer break, McShin Foundation​ will return to the Studio to start new and interesting projects, including a collaborative mural.  Be on the look out for a gallery opening soon for our collective MAKE Studio artwork!  


STUDIO 123 AT

CHILDREN'S GARDEN PRESCHOOL

We are excited to be partnering with Children's Garden Preschool this fall to offer our Early Childhood Art program, Studio 123!  Classes begin September 13th and we will enjoy an art curriculum that explores both cultural and world diversity in art.  Check out this amazing African American artist, Alma Woodsey Thomas, one of several artists we will be studying this year.

Art Therapist, Elizabeth King ​joins the MAKE Team!

We are pleased to welcome Art Therapist Elizabeth King to the studio this Fall.  Elizabeth joined us in the Spring for our Art and Recovery Sessions and is now a part of the team!  Mrs. King comes to us from an extensive background in therapeutic and ministry settings.  We are excited to have her!  Elizabeth is busy raising funds to support her work at Make.  Consider donating​ to support her incredible healing work.  Read more about her here.
