HERBAL TEA PARTY + CABIN GRAND OPENING

Wow, did April fly by! I'm so thankful for all of this wonderful rain because it means an abundance of flowers, new spring and summer produce, and happy garden plants. May also brings our celebration of mothers. This year we are partnering with one of our regular customers and certified herbalist, Ivy Ham.

While it may be titled a "Mother's Day" event, all are welcome to join us for this free garden tea party and workshop where Ivy will teach us an introductory lesson on the intentional use of herbs for tea, health and well-being.

Bulk Herbs

You may have observed when in the store that we carry a variety of bulk herbs. On each jar we have included some basic information on each herb's general uses and potential benefits, but Ivy will dive a bit deeper with her knowledge on the different herbs, so bring a notepad and a pen to take notes!

Garden Tea Party Setting

We will have tables set up with vintage tea cup sets, so arrive early to snag a seat! Ivy will guide us on how to choose the right herbs for our needs and tastes. Even if you are unable to sit at one of the tables, we welcome you to come and learn. Bring a camping chair or picnic blanket to hang out during the workshop and throughout the day.

*Tea cup sets will be available for purchase after the workshop, if desired.

Cabin Bookstore Grand Opening

You may have noticed our incorporation of some books in the store over the last couple of months. We are so thrilled to announce the opening of the cabin! We wanted to bring another element to the farm by providing a used/new bookstore, among other curiosities that will be added over time. I used to be a Language Arts teacher, so I have a lot of great fiction and nonfiction books available for children and young adults. There are plenty of books for adults, as well, and we will continue to add to our catalog!

FIRST STOP INCENTIVE

We would love to be the first place you stop on your weekly shopping trip. When you purchase $150+ in grocery, household, and personal care essentialsyou automatically receive 10% off those items. This includes, but is not limited to: produce, meat, dairy, canned goods, coffee, bread, oral care, soaps, shampoos + conditioners, feminine care products, laundry detergent, dish washing products, and more!

COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

In order to be more sustainable in our daily operations, we ask that you bring your reusable bag(s) when you shop with us. We have many wonderful bags available for purchase here in the store, all of which give back to the environment with each sale.

We have paper bags available for a fee... while they last.

Fact of the Week:  Most prescriptions/drugs are made from unnatural ingredients that can have negative effects on our bodies. They are also usually mimicking what herbs and plants do naturally. While using herbs for well-being may not have immediate effects like their chemical man-made counterparts, they have long-term benefits that can help us live longer healthier lives.

A couple Christmases ago, Frank had the idea of making custom herb collections for each of our family members with dried herbs from our garden. He made the jar holders himself!

By shopping with us, you are supporting your local farmers, artisans, and the economy.

We thank you.
