original works DEAdline is this week!

You should have received your informational letters on how to access the Original Works website with your child's artwork.  Original Works is a PTO fundraiser that turns your child's art into personalized and one of a kind products.  All orders are due by Wednesday, November 15, to ensure timely delivery for the holidays.

incoming 4th grade parent meeting at CMS 

This transition meeting on Tuesday, 11/14 @ 8:30am will answer questions for parents who have current 3rd graders. There will be a presentation, some classroom walkthroughs and a chance to meet and mingle with administration at Corte Madera. There are so many wonderful aspects to share about life at CMS; plan on attending the meeting and finding out the secrets of this hidden gem tucked right under Windy HIll.

second harvest food drive Nov 13-17 

Ormondale will be collecting food donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank between November 13 - 17. 

On November 8th Ormondale students will be bringing home a grocery bag that they can fill with a food donation and return to school for the food drive. Filling this bag is a great way for the whole family to get involved with helping those in need. Second Harvest Bins will be near the Ormondale Office starting November 13th.

CREEKSIDE SCHOOL SPEAKER SERIES 2017-18 PRESENTS

A Design Thinking Workshop for Parents

Wednesday November 15th, 6pm at Creekside School

Come and immerse yourself in the design thinking process. Use empathy,
need finding and prototyping as vehicles to re-think problem solving.
See how Creekside employs design thinking in all aspects of the
curriculum.

Led by Travis Greenlee and Emily Mitchell

Travis Greenlee is Creekside’s Lead Teacher and focuses on humanities
instruction and school culture. Whether through history, reading,
writing, nature exploration or project based learning, Travis seeks to
instill a spirit of curiosity and wonder in his students. Travis weaves
design thinking into all aspects of the Creekside curriculum and leads
regular design thinking workshops with the Creekside students.

Emily Mitchell is a first grade teacher at The Nueva School. She has a
Bachelor of Arts from Lafayette College and a Masters in Organizational
Psychology from Columbia University. Emily is passionate about teaching
and loves working at an inquiry-based school where she is able to model
what it means to “learn by doing.”
