A Design Thinking Workshop for Parents

Come and immerse yourself in the design thinking process. Use empathy, need finding and prototyping as vehicles to re-think problem solving. See how Creekside employs design thinking in all aspects of the curriculum.
Led by Travis Greenlee and Emily Mitchell
Travis Greenlee is Creekside’s Lead Teacher and focuses on humanities instruction and school culture. Whether through history, reading, writing, nature exploration or project based learning, Travis seeks to instill a spirit of curiosity and wonder in his students. Travis weaves design thinking into all aspects of the Creekside curriculum and leads regular design thinking workshops with the Creekside students.
Emily Mitchell is a first grade teacher at The Nueva School. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Lafayette College and a Masters in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. Emily is passionate about teaching and loves working at an inquiry-based school where she is able to model what it means to “learn by doing.”
