Support GUB today!

Dear GUB Friends:

We can’t believe it’s been a year since you helped us raise $60,000 at Growing Up Boulder’s 2021 FUNdraiser!  Last year on this day, we convened US Congressman Joe Neguse, our incredible kid emcee team, and over 100 participants to explore the invaluable benefits of child-friendly communities.

The funds you donated allowed us to hire our first Americorps member, our first GUB Youth leader, and to pay our existing staff for more hours.  Thanks to you, we were able to staff projects like our youth-led “Healing Day of Remembrance,” in response to our community’s King Soopers tragedy.

GUB Education Director Cathy Hill, community partners Maya Sol Dansie and Chris DeMarco, and youth leader Greyson DeMarco, work together to prepare the youth-led “Healing Day of Remembrance.”

Your funding also built our capacity so we could share the voices of 436 children and youth with the City as they “Reimage[d] Policing” in Boulder.  It helped us hear 3rd grade, bilingual students describe their vision for inclusive parks, equitable housing, and much-needed child care at the old Sugar Beet Mill in Longmont.

These projects continue to showcase what’s possible when we elevate kids' and youth voices from all backgrounds.

Finally, your support served as a catalyst to DOUBLE our revenue since last year!

This year, we invite you to contribute to GUB’s May 2022 “Non-Event FUNdraiser!”  Why a “non-event event”?  Because we are so busy DOING the work this year, we need to save our time, while still requesting your critical financial support.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 in May 2022 to:
       1) hire a new “Bilingual Engagement Specialist,” and
       2) launch Boulder as the first pilot UNICEF USA Child-Friendly City in Colorado!

Boulder Community Health and Children’s Hospital Colorado have already signed on to support the UNICEF USA Child-Friendly City Initiative via GUB; will you?
