WELCOME BACK!

Who’s ready for a FANTASTIC 2021-2022 School Year?

We hope everyone had a wonderful Summer and you were able to enjoy the opportunities that have opened up. While last year was quite the feat, WE DID IT! We hope you take a moment to congratulate yourselves on a job well done...

With that celebratory theme in mind, the PTO is charging into the year ahead, which is ripe with promise and great plans. The main purpose of The PTO is to foster and support our strong sense of community by connecting our teachers, students, and parents. Our district thrives from volunteering and unique community participation; thankfully, this year will see so many occasions reemerge and we are ecstatically starting that planning process. Please take a look here for all the ways you can be involved this school year. PVSD is targeting early October for on campus volunteering and anticipated school events to resume.  

On the first day of school, please stop by the Town Center after drop-off (8:30-9:30 am) for a welcome back parent coffee! We will be in the redwood grove next to the playground with coffee and treats. Catch up with fellow parents and ask us any questions you may have about our many volunteer opportunities.

CALLING ALL STUDENT ARTISTS 

The Portola Valley Schools Student Directory, published each fall, is an invaluable local resource, highlighting the generosity and diversity of local businesses, providing essential information on our schools, and enabling the social lives of our children.

For the forthcoming 2021-22 edition, we'd like to continue the tradition of featuring the work of an up-and-coming local artist on the cover. We are inviting Ormondale and Corte Madera students, from rising TK/kindergarteners through emerging eighth-graders, to send in their cover designs. We'll choose one to be this year's cover. The winner's family will receive a complimentary copy of the directory, suitable for autographing.

The cover format is standard letter size, 8.5" x 11", portrait orientation, in color.

Please send entries to [email protected] by Friday, September 10.

Please include the artist's name, grade level for the upcoming school year, and parent's name.

A heartfelt thank you to Katie Wilson, Erin Murarka, Clare Rubin, Mariya Anderson, Camilla Eckstein and Katy Fluet for hosting playdates for the incoming TK/Kinder families over the summer.  We’re happy many families had the opportunity to meet before coming to campus this year.
