Amy Rollins, an educator and instructor of children and teen yoga and mindfulness, will be joining us at LBD camp again this summer. Through the implementation of mindfulness strategies, Amy will work with players to gain a greater awareness of the world around them, and their internal emotional state. They will learn how to effectively use their breath as a tool for self-regulation, creating a sense of safety and peace within the body and mind. Players will be taught strategies to improve focus, as well as tools for relaxation and restoration. The hope is that players will take what they learn in these practices, and use them both on and off the field to help increase self-confidence, decrease stress and anxiety, ultimately allowing them to be more joyful and present in their everyday lives.

More Than Just Soccer
At LBD we understand that no player, no matter the age, can play soccer for 6 hours a day. The LBD camp day is broken up into different phases:
- Soccer Exercises (individual & team)
- Ladder Competitions (camp favorite!)
- Character Building Lessons
- Team Building Competitions
Character Building (2nd - 4th Graders)
The focus at the Character Building camp is to encourage every camper to believe in themselves and reach for the stars. By doing these things not only will our campers achieve their goals, but will become exactly who they want to be -- someone who deserves and receives the respect of family, friends, and peers.
Empowering Leaders (5th-9th Graders)
Our focus at the Empowering Leaders camp is to teach our campers the ingredients it takes to be a leader on the field and a leader in life. Our campers get the best of both worlds: they learn soccer from some of the best alumni WHS soccer has to offer and they are exposed to a multitude of leadership concepts they can cultivate for life.
