The FIZZ x MIND

December, a month full of love, humanity, gifts, and of course the holidays. Especially during this year’s holidays, The FIZZ would like to support others in need. The pandemic has changed our lives completely and we are making the best out of it. Even though there are some great companies that create alternatives that will guide us through these crazy times, there are still a lot of people that are struggling with the current situation. Not being able to see your friends and/or family or having less social contact can even make it worse.

Therefore, The FIZZ supports MIND. MIND wants to prevent phycological health problems and supports people who have to deal with them. They are doing this by sharing information, conducting research and offering help for those who need it. We are supporting MIND by donating, and you can help us! By buying a lottery of €5 you donate straight to MIND. But, you also have a chance to win great prizes such as a €500 rent discount! The more lottery tickets you buy, the higher the chance to win a price! To still keep the holiday vibes, we are going to decorate the communal area with a Christmas tree. Also, keep an eye on our calendar as we are having some great events with MIND. For example, we start with the week van de prestatiedruk (only Dutch) that is organised by MIND. From 30th November till the 4th of December MIND organises everyday an online livestream from 16:00hr till 17:00hr. During this livestream experts will talk with you and answer your questions concerning different themes. Such as:

  • How to cope with the uncertainty of this time and coming future?
  • How to meet people and make new friends during this time?
  • How to study or work from home?

Keeping WEST507 clean!

We try to keep WEST507 as clean as possible and we need each and every tenant’s help to do this.

  1. Hallways: Is your garbage full and you don’t want to go outside to throw it away? Then please put the bag in your apartment and not in the hallway. Besides the smell that it has, it is also not fireproof. This is also the case for cartons.
  2. Elevators: Besides the hurtful comments that are written in the elevators, the calendars were also taken off and people throw away their trash in here. The wooden planks have been removed and the calendars are placed in click frames. Please do not remove these and make sure to throw away your trash at home.
  3. Trash: Is the trash bin outside full? Please know that the sensor in the bin only goes off when the bin is full. Only then the municipality of Rotterdam will empty out the bins. Therefore, please throw away your trash correctly. If you notice that the bin is full for a long time or that there is a lot of trash next to the bins, make a notification in the ‘buitenbeter’ app.

GYM opening hours update

As we’ve mentioned before we’ve changed the gym opening hours. Please keep in mind that there are tenants living underneath and next to the gym, so please do not throw with the weights.
As there is still noise disturbance we would like to share the opening hours again:

Monday – Friday                 08:00/21:00

Saturday – Sunday              11:00/21:00
