Feature #1: Stillpoints Aperture Acoustic Panels | |
I have always been a fan of the Stillpoint isolation products, footers, racks, etc, and Stillpoints also makes a very effective room treatment product in the their Aperture II panels. I have found these to be one of, if not the most comprehensive room treatment on the market.

Feature #2: The new Ayre 8 series products | |
My initial sonic impressions included descriptive terms as big, bold, and detailed with an excellent transient response. The QX-8 delivers the characteristic “Ayre Acoustics Sound”: extremely neutral, dynamic with very well controlled bass and an overall lack of hardness. If you are looking for warmth or midbass fullness, you might be disappointed by the QX-8. What the QX-8 delivers is absolute tonal accuracy in its overall presentation.

Feature #3: Shunyata Research - Denali 6000s V2 | |
Just this last week, we got in the new Shunyata Research Denali 6000s V2, along with their top line Sigma NR power cord. Though not even broken in yet, there are very obvious improvements over the previous V1, which is a great performer in its own right. What was clear to me was: better separation, layering and a noticeably lower noise floor. Again, only about halfway burned in, so I'm excited to hear, and see, how things improve.

At ESS, we are very happy to represent the Nordost brand of products. Obviously known for their innovative high performance cables, they also have a great array of other products. Their QRT power products have been well received, and perform really great. A very popular demo at the recent HIFI Deluxe show in Munich Germany was their new Powerpoint. We have a demo en route, and will have it available for audition.
