New Isolation and Quarantine Guidelines for Students!

Please read these important updates from CDPH regarding updated isolation and quarantine guidelines for students.

Isolation for Students (for students who have a positive COVID test result)

The California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) recommendations regarding isolation in the event of contracting COVID-19 now apply to students. Under this updated guidance, everyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status, previous infection, or lack of symptoms, should follow these recommendations:

  • Stay home for at least 5 days.
  • Isolation can end after day 5 IF symptoms are not present or are resolving AND a diagnostic specimen (antigen test preferred) collected on day 5 or later, tests negative.

Reminders:

  • Vaccinations and boosters continue to be the best way to provide protection against contracting and spreading COVID-19.
  • Please email your child's completed vaccination/booster record to Nurse Abbe as soon as you have it.

Please read the Parent Square Message from Roberta Zarea dated 1/6/22 for additional details.

Meeting is scheduled to be in person but may shift to virtual depending on local health conditions.

Soles4souls Shoe Drive

Please help support our second-grade global community project, Soles4souls, by donating new or slightly worn shoes (all sizes and styles). There will be donation boxes in front of each second-grade classroom and in front of Ormondale by the office.

Why shoes? Because without them, people are vulnerable to disease and are often unable to attend school or look for work. And shoes can also empower people to build small businesses to escape poverty. There’s no better feeling than making a positive impact on someone’s life and in the world.

The second graders will be keeping track of all the shoes that we collect by graphing the donations. Stay tuned to hear the grand total of shoes that were donated by our Ormondale families. Our shoe drive will continue into the new year and end Friday, January 14th. So let's work together and help people in our global community!

Parents and caregivers welcome! Free admission. The Parent Forum is an initiative of Sequoia Healthcare District, in partnership with The Parent Venture.
