Understanding Mental Injuries at Work - FREE

HS - Understanding Mental Injuries at Work

Oct 16, 2019 | CUPE Local 218, Whitby, Ontario | English

New forms of work, job insecurity, work intensification, high demands, violence and a resulting poor work-life balance are resulting in psychosocial and mental health problems in CUPE workplaces. This module focuses on the workplace as the cause of mental health issues, and not the individual. Discuss strategies and actions that actually help make workplaces psychologically healthier and safer.

Solidarity Rally with Carea CHC in Oshawa

Wednesday, September 18 at 4pm at 115 Grassmere Ave, Oshawa

Solidarity rally to support Carea Community Health Centre workers seeking a first collective agreement!

Join us for a fun and family-friendly rally to support our fight for a fair contract.

The SEIU Healthcare members at Carea in Oshawa, Ajax, Whitby and Pickering have been seeking their first collective agreement for over a year.

These frontline community healthcare workers, health promoters, community development workers, outreach workers, childcare workers, social workers, and support staff provide important community programing and healthcare services in the Durham Region.

These workers love their work and the services they provide to the local community, but they need their employer to show them some respect. Enough is enough!

You can also support their struggle by visiting https://seiuhealthcare.ca/take-action-for-the-members-at-carea-community-health-centre/ and sending a message to Carea telling them to negotiate a fair contract.

Do you like freebies?

We have free Workers of Durham Northumberland Activity Books for your local! You can request as few or as many as you would like for your local. Respond to this email for more information.
