ROOM PARENT VOLUNTEER FORM

We know this year looks a little (a lot!) different with COVID-19 and starting off the school year distance learning, but our hope is that the PTO can continue to provide a sense of community for the students, families, teachers, and staff in our district during this challenging time.

The purpose of the PV-PTO is to foster and support our unique school communities. We do this through community outreach via the PTO Weekly, volunteer recruitment and assistance, teacher support and appreciation, the school directory, and other programs. While some of our popular community events are on hold this year, we look forward to bringing them back as soon as possible. We have also added several new programs that we are really excited about:

  • A partnership with Common Ground to provide parent education
  • CMS and ORM branded facial coverings for each child and teacher
  • Funds for school supply kits for home use during distance learning

We ask parents to donate to the PTO in the first few weeks of school to support the coming year’s programs and activities. Click here to donate: http://www.pvpto.com/membershipdirectory You’ll receive a free directory with a donation of $100 or more. Your financial support is a critical way to ensure that the programs that make our schools (and the PVSD community) so special continue year after year.

If you have any questions or suggestions on how the PTO can help our school community during this time, please don’t hesitate to contact one of us.

Sincerely,

Aimee Blum - CMS PTO President ([email protected])

Lesleen Riley - CMS PTO Vice-President

Sara Atkins - ORM PTO President ([email protected])

CORTE MADERA supply pick- up and picture day

Wednesday, August 19th

All CMS Students need to come to campus on Wednesday, August 19th to pick up their materials for Distance Learning and have their school picture taken. Parents need to drive their child to campus. Parents will enter the school pick-up line and first be handed a bag of their child's supplies. The parent then drives down the line where their child will get out of the car (with mask on) to take their school photo. Parents will remain in the car. Ms. Shima will welcome students back to school, then students will get their school photo taken and get back in their car. This process should take about 10 minutes for each student. Please arrive during the designated time for your child’s grade:

8:00-9:30 am: 4th Grade

9:30-11:00 am: 5th Grade

11:00-12:30 pm: 6th Grade

1:00-3:00 pm: 7th/8th Grade

student orientations

Student Orientations with Ms. Shima and Mr. Patterson are scheduled for Thursday, August 20th. These virtual orientations are to welcome them and go over expectations during Distance Learning. This is also a chance for students to test whether they can access and work the chrome books and log into live meetings before the first day. Here are the windows of times for student orientation with Ms. Shima. Please look for the email from Ms. Shima with the meeting link.

9:00-9:30 am: 4th/5th Grade

9:30-10:00 am: 6/7/8th Grade
