We know this year looks a little (a lot!) different with COVID-19 and starting off the school year distance learning, but our hope is that the PTO can continue to provide a sense of community for the students, families, teachers, and staff in our district during this challenging time.
The purpose of the PV-PTO is to foster and support our unique school communities. We do this through community outreach via the PTO Weekly, volunteer recruitment and assistance, teacher support and appreciation, the school directory, and other programs. While some of our popular community events are on hold this year, we look forward to bringing them back as soon as possible. We have also added several new programs that we are really excited about:
- A partnership with Common Ground to provide parent education
- CMS and ORM branded facial coverings for each child and teacher
- Funds for school supply kits for home use during distance learning
We ask parents to donate to the PTO in the first few weeks of school to support the coming year’s programs and activities. Click here to donate: http://www.pvpto.com/membershipdirectory You’ll receive a free directory with a donation of $100 or more. Your financial support is a critical way to ensure that the programs that make our schools (and the PVSD community) so special continue year after year.
If you have any questions or suggestions on how the PTO can help our school community during this time, please don’t hesitate to contact one of us.
Sincerely,
Aimee Blum - CMS PTO President ([email protected])
Lesleen Riley - CMS PTO Vice-President
Sara Atkins - ORM PTO President ([email protected])
Kit Antovich - ORM PTO Vice-President
