SPRING IS COMING MARch 2022 NEWSLETTER What's New in March ASAP Kids Teach Week! This March we are excited to implement another amazing ASAP Kids Teach Week! Photo: Adelyn teaching her "Unicorn Wonderland" lesson this past October Similarly to how we've done it in the past, our kids will have the opportunity to submit lesson ideas (Feb. 28-March 4), work with teachers to gather materials and plan their lessons (March 7-11), and then teach their lessons to their peers (March 14-18). This is a great opportunity for kids to practice their communication and critical thinking skills and build their confidence in their art and interaction with their peers. It's also great for students to explore their favorite types of art and special interests and share those with their peers. We love how this creates an opportunity to talk about classroom expectations (it's a little different from a teacher's perspective!) and for students to lead. WATCH THE VIDEO ECE Preschool We're excited to transition from hearts, love, and rainbows into a focus on spring, gardening, and new life in our preschool classroom this March. Our art next week will focus on a different spring flowers in a different medium every day. Pre-K/Kindergarten In March, we'll be adding a new science and discovery center to our classroom, including a hands on composting area where children can see how different materials break down.
