Weekly Worship & Announcements

Right around midnight last night, you probably heard the tune "Auld Lang Syne." It's sort of a wish for the good old days, (in Scottish of course).  Isn't it a little ironic that at the same time were making resolutions to hopefully become better people in 2022, we're celebrating with a song that longs to go back to the way it always was.  As Christians we have something far better to hope for than just days gone by, we have a hope for eternity!  Below is a great revision of this song with Christian lyrics by a group called Kings Kaleidoscope, called "All Glory Be to Christ" (Click the image to hear the song).  This is my prayer for myself and for our church this year.  May God bless your families!

Sunday's Worship Gathering - January 2nd

This Week's Sermon: "Growing Up in the Year of the Lord" based on Luke 2:52 and Luke 4:18-19.  When we talk about resolutions, with the hope for a better 2022, it's most important to consider what God's desire is for his children.  What "goals" does He have for a new year?

Two Prayer Requests

Please continue to pray for the Blyler Family.  Bud is still in the hospital after the 2nd stroke he had a few weeks ago.  Unfortunately his recovery is not happening as quickly as doctors had hoped.

Also, please pray for COG Pastor Pat and Penny Ferris.
Pat is pastoring in Mt. Carmel and the Weishample restart.  He and his wife have both been very sick during the past couple weeks and are awaiting tests results for Covid.
