Thank you for sharing your gifts with the Allegro community over these years. Best of luck, Laura! Laura has been dancing at Allegro for an entire decade! Her most favorite production to preform in was The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Laura's favorite Allegro memory "would have to be performing our Team Tap dance ‘Perm’ from a couple years ago. It was such a unique dance and always a ton of fun." Following graduation, Laura plans to attend St. Olaf college to study biology, with hopes to go into Pharmacology. Laura will miss her pups Casper & Oscar dearly! Laura notes that through her time with Allegro I she has learned many of lessons in perseverance, which she shares "have helped shape my character for the future." Senior Spotlight! Lucas has been dancing with Allegro for 15 years! He recounts his favorite role was that of a "dark spirt" in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, which he found refreshing because "I rarely got to be evil." Lucas recounts his favorite Allegro memory: "I remember getting tired of watching the Nutcracker rehearsal and building structures with the foam mats. Unfortunately for the teachers, their disapproval did not dissuade me from constructing my foam castle." In his free time, Lucas enjoys playing piano and viola. These two passions will meld together as he attends St. Olaf college this fall majoring in music composition and minoring in dance. Lucas S. As Lucas' time at Allegro comes to a close, he reflects that he has learned to be patient through his education. As in many types of dance, especially ballet, progress is slow. Thank you to everyone who made the performances of R.E.D. Uplift possible! R.E.D. partnered with musicians of SEMYO to bring the performance to life on the stage of Rochester Civic Theatre. Ms. Taryn by Ms. Kathy for Being a Team Player: Miss Taryn keeps us all safe through her efforts of sanitizing the studio. She is quick to jump in to help with any and all tech problems. I so appreciate her kindness each and every day. She is a wonderful colleague to work with! Marya P. by Ms. Melanie for Kindness: Marya (Mom to dancer Joanna P.) shows a ridiculous amount of patience and kindness through her communications with the office. Though I've never had the chance to meet Marya in person, I feel a big sense of gratitude for her!
