Pride! Respect! Responsibility! Pine Ridge PTO Newsletter April 12, 2019 Hi Ranger Families! In just over 8 weeks we will be wrapping up this school year! It really is flying by and there is a lot of fun packed into these last two months. Just before Spring Break, we held our annual Book Swap. This year we had 169 students participate and over 1200 books were swapped! Next week is our Spring Book Fair! It is our BYGO book fair which means for every book or item purchased, you get another item of equal or lesser value FREE! We still need volunteers! book fair sign-up We also have two class musicals next week. Our 3rd Grade performs on Wednesday and 2nd Grade on Thursday. Both performances begin at 7pm. The book fair will be open for families before and after the musicals. Coming home in backpacks is information about two new and exciting PTO initiatives that I’m excited to tell you about! First, we’ve been working with 1st Day School Supplies to provide you the option of ordering your student’s school supplies and having them delivered right to his/her classroom for Open House in August! These school supply boxes contain the EXACT school supplies our teachers have requested for each grade level. Boxes range between $26-$34 depending on grade level. The deadline to order is June 30. We hope many families find this a great convenience and encourage you to order early so you don’t forget! 1st day of school supplies We are also excited for a new fundraising partnership with Jam’nBean Coffee, a family owned business with four Pine Ridge alumnus. They have created a specialty blend for Pine Ridge called RIDGE ROAST. So fun!! We anticipate organizing several coffee orders and deliveries each school year. This first order will be due with payment by May 1, with a delivery on May 9 or 10- just in time for Mother’s Day! Each 12oz bag is fresh roasted in their Ada location and is available as whole bean or ground for $14/bag. You can also order online and pick up at your convenience, Jam'nbean ridge roast order form Bags of RIDGE ROAST and spirit wear items will be available to purchase before and after the musicals this week as well! Kindergarten Kick-Off : Parents of incoming Kindergarten students are invited to attend Kindergarten Kick-Off on Thursday, April 25 at 7pm.
