Society Memberships are due to Expire on the 30thJune 2021

The  current membership term ends on the 30th June 2021.  We appreciate and rely on your financial support to the Society. We would like to invite you to renew your membership, the cost is $80.00 for the 2021 – 2022 term.

As well as involvement in debate of contemporary issues in sexual health, of the society offers many benefits.

ASHM - Senior Project Officer - Hepatitis B


This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate key education programs, resources, policy and advocacy with a focus on hepatitis B.


The Senior Project Officer plays a key role in managing projects within the Policy & Education Division with a particular focus on hepatitis B. With demonstrated project management experience you will provide direction to projects and committees ensuring projects are delivered to budget and deadlines. You will be proficient working to and reporting on budgets and work plans, as well as providing direction to staff and conducting regular team meetings. You will be confident presenting, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders at both an operational and strategic level.  Candidates with a knowledge and understanding of viral hepatitis and/or the development and delivery of adult education will be well regarded.


This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), 12 month fixed term contract, based in either Sydney or Brisbane, although remote working may also be possible.



ASHM provides a very flexible and supportive working environment.  Key benefits include time off in lieu, working from home, leave loading, 10% superannuation and access to non-taxable fringe benefit salary packaging options.  This position will require some travel.  The base/taxable salary commences at $69,094 per annum or total remuneration which includes full non-taxable fringe benefit salary packaging options equals $85,437 per annum.

Participate in a national research study on nurse prescribing in Australia


Dear colleagues,

This study aims to understand RN and NP perspectives on nurse prescribing in Australia. We are especially interested in your insights to inform implementation of nurse prescribing nationwide, ultimately improving access and experiences of care, as well as patient outcomes.


You are invited to participate in a 10 minute survey. Participants may go into the draw to win an IPAD
