Hello Again, Romantics, it's Robin...

Whew, has it been a whirlwind last few weeks! Work has taken me to Chicago, St. Louis, and Savannah. Lots of airports, hotels, and restaurants. I couldn't wait to get home and prepare a home-cooked meal. My kitchen is my happy place, and I'll be putting it to good use this week.

The timing of my travel has worked well, as our latest book is with our editor, Jen. We will be sharing a lot more in June, including a cover reveal and a sneak peek at the first few chapters, so come back, okay?

This week's newsletter includes a feature Paul wrote about prom. It's prom season here in Kansas City. You don't have to go far on a Saturday night to see teenagers decked out in gowns and tuxes. Paul shares some favorite stories and remembrances of his senior prom. We want to hear your prom stories, too!

Did you go to prom? If you did, was it a good experience? Did you go with the person of your dreams, or was it a cringe-worthy night of awkward dancing?

Paul has actually been to eleven proms, maybe more, and because of all his experience, I let him fly solo on this week's Love Notes. I think he did a wonderful job. Funny, poignant, and sweet. Check it out and let us know what you think.

You can find it here.

Spotlight on... Shunned

"Not Your Typical Beach Read"

Picture

Paul's book, Shunned, is set in Ocean City, Maryland, near where he grew up. But you need to know from the start, this is not a warm and cozy beach read. There's scandal, a marriage on the rocks, and a charismatic megachurch pastor with questionable morals. There's also hope of redemption and the power of forgiveness. Most notably, Shunned introduces readers to one of Paul's most beloved characters: attorney Teresa Traynor. If you're looking for something a little different this summer, you will want to check out this one.

You can find Shunned here.
