Company Spotlight - Barlo Motor Group

Picture

At Barlo Motor Group their main priority will always be to their staff and customers especially during these uncertain times. The Barlo name has been trading in County Tipperary for over 75 years and they intend for it to trade for another 75 years if not more.

Barlo Motor Group have dealerships in Clonmel, Kilkenny and Thurles with leading automotive brands which include Ford, Hyundai and Nissan.

From the get go of this global pandemic across the group the dealerships have implemented a range of safety measures and have adapted their selling process to suit customers needs, especially during lockdown.

From back of house to front of house there are new measures taken daily across the group. Some of which include temperature checks for staff, a plentiful supply of PPE, hand sanitizer, staggered breaks to ensure social distancing etc.

An investment that the group have made is in a market leading sanitising system called “Sanity Systems”, this process is offered & used in vehicles to ensure that the vehicles are sanitised to an extremely high level removing all bacteria and it also inactivates viruses which is essential at this time.
When lockdown was announced Barlo Motor Group knew that they had to adapt their sales process and so they adapted new online processes along with of course increasing their online presence. A Virtual Sales Experience was created whereby the customer could literally purchase or put a deposit on their vehicle of preference without even leaving their house! Barlo Motor Group facilitated contactless sales, virtual test drives & video’s which were sent directly to the customer. Video’s of vehicle stock were also shared on their used car listing across various platforms to ensure that the customer got as real life an experience as they could and a 360 degree view of the vehicle.
During the lockdown the front of house was closed but behind the scenes the staff at Barlo Motor Group were onsite assisting with the vehicle maintenance of Frontline workers whilst complying with government regulations and restrictions. The owners of the group are extremely grateful for their staff’s efforts during such a time of unknown in order to help others.

In regards to customer safety onsite across the groups four dealerships they have implemented the following protocols:
-    Clearly signed Entry & Exit points.
-    Hand Sanitization areas at various points in each dealership.
-    Contact tracing to ensure each customer is listed daily upon entering the dealership
-    Social distancing signage & floor markings, making the new process clear to the consumer.

The motor industry is fast paced and Barlo Motor Group have changed it’s processes in the current climate in order remain competitive within the industry.
Barlo Motor Group’s motto is “From our Family to yours since 1944” and they hope that this will continue for years to come, if there was ever a time to shop local now is the time.

Quality and Safety Assured at Clonmel Park Hotel

Picture

The team at the Clonmel Park Hotel were delighted last week to receive their certification from Failte Ireland of their inclusion in the Nationwide ‘Covid-19 Safety Charter’.
The COVID-19 Safety Charter is designed to give comfort and reassurance to employers, employees and customers that a business with this certification is safe, and compliant in all of their safety guidelines pertaining to the prevention of Covid.
Fáilte Ireland has issued sector specific guidelines for tourism and hospitality businesses to guide in how best to meet the Government's public health advice; so, by signing up to this Charter, all employees at the Clonmel Park Hotel are agreeing to follow the recommended guidelines within the hotel.
Speaking with Laura Jones Sales & Marketing Manager, she had the following to say ‘this Charter is an excellent initiative from the team at Failte Ireland’. ‘It really helps put guests mind at ease before they come to our hotel, and they know that by us having secured this classification, we are doing everything we can to make their experience with us as comfortable and safe as possible’.
