Winter 2019 News V.2 Message from our President by Lucinette Alvarado, President, Pittsburgh AIHA ¡Hola a todos! It is a new year and the AIHA Pittsburgh Local Section started strong. We had our January 2019 meeting hosted by Cardno ChemRisk in Downtown Pittsburgh and it was a success! It was not only a full house, but the presenters Laura Hallett and Josh Maskrey did an excellent job presenting IH exposure modeling; a concept that may be a challenge for those who aren’t mathematicians like me ☺. Thank you so much for the host and the presenters. This month’s meeting is going to be a good one too; is about ethics. Don’t forget to use this opportunity to get your CM points in ethics with this one. Go to our website and/or emails sent by Christy for further details. I will use this opportunity for those of you who are also AIHA National members to not forget to vote for the 2019 Board of Directors election. National AIHA just released in the Synergist the candidates’ platforms. Take a look and when the ballot is out, select the candidates that you consider the best. Our current National AIHA President, Ms. Cynthia Ostrowski is coming to visit us for our President’s Luncheon in March. Stay tuned for details. That is all for now! Please check Catalyst for recent news within the local section. If you will like to share an announcement or awesome news, please feel free to do so in our Catalyst community. Have a great and safe day!
