Dear Friends,
As 2016 comes to a close, we want to thank you for supporting the beautiful children at Salomon Klein Orphanage this year. You will receive a letter from us in January for tax filing purposes. Because of your generous donations, the more than 150 kids at Salomon Klein have a safer and more nurturing environment that is so important in their tender, early years of life. In addition to funding more staffing and educational programs at the orphanage, we were able to answer an urgent plea last month to send money for medication when there was a serious chickenpox outbreak at the orphanage.
Apart from our main mission of raising funds for the orphans, our new organization has become a sharing point for many former Salomon Klein volunteers, adoptive families, and adult adoptees who spent their first months or years of life at Salomon Klein! We have had the honor and pleasure of skyping and meeting with some of these wonderful families, and getting to know these outstanding young adults who were adopted from Salomon Klein has been an inspiring experience for us. They are already busy networking with one another to find ways to give back and support the children who are at Salomon Klein today. You can see their testimonials on our webpage, www.salomonkleinkidsfund.org and our Facebook page link here: https://www.facebook.com/salomonkleinkidsfund.org/.
Since we launched in September, we have raised almost $22,000 for the kids, thanks to you. That puts us well on the way to our end of year goal of $30,000.
If you have friends or family who would be interested in contributing to Salomon Klein Orphanage to help us reach that goal, we would greatly appreciate it if you would tell them about the children there, and share our webpage and Facebook information with them. We also hope that we can count on your on-going support in 2017 so that together we can continue to enrich the lives of so many needy children.
Thank you again, and we wish you a wonderful holiday season.
Sincerely,
Michael Coughlin, Andrea LaRue, Melinda Elliott: Board Members
