Stations of the Resurrection remain up in the woods for the duration of Eastertide, ending on May 28.  Stations can be walked in the woods anytime from dawn until dusk.  We will also have virtual stations available on our website for those who cannot visit our woods in person.

New Land Restoration Signs

Next time you visit Pathways, be sure to check out the new signs about our ongoing ecological restoration work.  Near the main trailhead you'll find a large sign which gives an overview of our vision for ecological restoration.  You'll also find three small signs located around the property at active restoration areas.  You can follow the QR code on these signs to read more about the work we're doing at these sites (or read about it here).  We hope that the addition of these signs will fuel your curiosity about ecological restoration and answer some common questions.  Learn more by exploring the Land Restoration page on our website.

A big thank you to those who have come to our Creation Care events so far this year!  We’d love to have extra volunteers in May as we try to transplant some hemlock trees. If you plan on joining us, let our volunteer coordinator know to expect you by completing this 30 second survey.

Please dress in clothes suitable for outdoor work and bring work gloves and a water bottle.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our volunteer coordinator.  In the case of bad weather we will reschedule the work day, so check our website and social media for updates.

If you are interested in hearing about volunteer opportunities at Pathways, consider completing our volunteer survey if you haven’t already.  It will help us in match you with meaningful work and you’ll get periodic reminders about volunteer events we’re having.

April 20 Board Liturgy

Picture

At their April meeting, the Board of Directors marked a significant change in leadership. Evan Miller, Julie Stegelmann and Linda Lehman Thomas, co-directors for 8 years, have transitioned to other roles. Sally Weaver Glick led the board and staff in a liturgy that released the trinity of co-directors, represented by a 3-strand braid, and welcomed the new weaving together of five part-time staff roles

Arbor Day Celebration at First Friday’s “Green Day”

Friday, May 5, 4:30-7:30

Goshen’s May First Friday event will include an Arbor Day celebration on the Courthouse lawn. Pathways staff will be there with a booth to promote our land restoration work (and working to lose our status as Goshen’s best kept secret).   If you’re downtown for First Friday, stop by, say hi, and see if you can complete our leaf identification activity!
