Practice Schedule Reminders


This week is the last week of the fall water practice session. 

Saturday, October 26: Last day of practice for all teams (Competitive, Novice, and Advanced Novice).

Sunday, October 27: the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta for the Competitive Team. See regatta details for more information. No Novice or Advanced Novice practice on Sunday.

Monday, October 28: Competitive team only will go to PRRA to winterize the boats for winter storage. Busing will be provided.

8:00am Event 24B: Mens HS Trainer Single - Krivor

9:40am Event 27A: Mens HS Fours w/cox - Lee, Reinsdorf, D'Arpa, Galbraith, Lowicki

11:40am Event 30B: Mens HS Quad - A: Hida, Gammer, Woods, Lepis; A: Joseph, Lintner, LaFrance, Scanlon

12:00pm Event 30E: Womens HS Quad - A: Riedel, Parpel, Villemoes, Hoy; A - Wong, Corcoran, Galbraith, Kim; A - Kahn, Dowd, Guemeryl, Howard

3:30pm Event 34D: Womens HS Double - Lee, Shah

All boats to be in Philly 2 hours prior to their race to rig and prepare for their race. The location of the boats will be provided on Saturday evening. There is no bus transport to and from this regatta. Parking information is on the HOSR website https://hosr.org/traffic-flow-parking/ Note we do not have any parking passes for this regatta. Please check the weather and dress accordingly. There will be food and regatta wear vendors for your convenience. 

Winter Pre-Season Program

The winter pre-season programs begin November 11 and will be in the RHS Cafeteria. Winter pre-season training ends on December 20

High School Program: Monday - Friday, 5:30-7:30pm; $400

Development Team (Middle School): Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 4:30-5:30pm; $250

Note: training times are tentative, and are subject to approval by the High School. 


Training will consist of Erg training, weight-lifting, and cardio conditioning at the High School. The winter pre-season training is not mandatory, but highly recommended.

Please join Ridgewood Crew and Wine and Spirit World for a wine tasting and dinner at Park West Loft; 30 Oak St; Ridgewood, NJ. The evening includes a choice of three hot and three cold hors d'oeuvres, a chef curated three course dinner and wine pairing as you learn about a variety of fine wines from Wine and Spirit World. 


All wine sampled will be available for purchase in time for the upcoming holidays and there will be silent auction items offered. Tickets are $110/person or $1050/table of 10 ($5/person savings).  $30 of the cost of the ticket is tax deductible.

RHS Letter Jackets for Sale  Don’t miss your chance to order a Ridgewood HS Letter Jacket!   A Letter Jacket is a great way to celebrate athletic or artistic achievements, and is something you will cherish beyond high school.  The jacket is maroon wool with white leather sleeves and can be customized with Varsity Letters, Sports Patches, Club/ Activity Logos, Graduation Year, Script Embroidered Name and more.  This is NOT a fundraiser, just an opportunity to purchase a customized jacket at retail cost.  Jackets are made to order and take approximately 8 weeks.

Absence Policy - 2 Free Days During Winter Land Practice


  • Rowers may take 2 free days off from practice, if needed from 1/7 to 2/28 (during winter training).
  • The requested days will need to be cleared by the head coach a min. of 2 weeks prior to request.  Request needs to be sent in an e-mail to Ann and Boris.

If a rower requests any additional days, the following will apply:

  1. 2 weeks prior notice given to head coach and Ann
  2. Time must be made up during the (February break, 2/15- 2/19, which will have optional practices for all rowers during 3 days of the break. These 3 days 2/15, 2/18 and 2/19 are the ONLY days that you will be provided time to makeup for any requested additional days off ) Winter  (February) break, no exceptions
  3. (free) Days taken off cannot be combined with the Winter (February) break (beginning or end)

If you are new you should have received an email (check your spam folder if  you can't find it) to complete the registration process. You can also go to instateam.net or the app to create an account. Our team codes are: Ridgewood Crew - VGTQNP for those in the HS and Ridgewood Crew Development Team - HDAT4W for those in middle school.
